Question for HR managers at foreign companies

I'm currently working as a developer at an IT company, and my goal is to relocate to the US after moving to a foreign company. However, I have a criminal record from about 10 years ago where I received a fine (I deeply regret it). In cases like mine, has anyone successfully relocated to the US on an H1B/L1 visa? I'm debating whether or not to change jobs, so I'd really appreciate any input.
